Using a barcode reader will help you get the most from Library Gold. Using barcodes speeds up your library operations significantly. It also guarantees accuracy, ensuring that book and member numbers are entered correctly every time.
We offer two types of barcode reader:
- a high-specification laser scanner;
- a hand-held CCD scanner.
Both scanners simply connect to a free USB port on your computer.

Our laser scanner can be placed on the stand supplied for easy scanning. Just place
the barcode to be read under the red visible line projected by the scanner, and the
barcode number is read instantly.
The scanner comes with a 5 year warranty.
You will also need barcode labels to attach to your books. We supply barcode labels and member cards custom-printed for your library.
